Persecution should not come as a surprise to Christians, after all the Lord Himself was persecuted. Stephen’s account shows us that speaking of Jesus brings mistreatment and hate from those who do not want to hear the gospel. However, worship demands that we witness about the Lord, even if it costs our lives.
