One of our pitfalls is that we place our hope in things that change. The joys and delights of this life will grow dim, the glories and the achievements of this world will decay and so if your hope is in these things, you will know despair.
We need to find our hope in God because the ever-changing creature can only find rest in the unchanging Creator.
